A LOCAL 8 WEATHER ALERT is in effect into Wednesday due repeated rainfall. A Flood Watch is in effect for our area until 7 AM Wednesday. Where there are more pauses in the rain, totals will be closer to 2 inches but some will receive at least 4 inches of rainfall total. Creeks and streams run high and areas with poor runoff could face flooding problems. Busy commute hours could face more slowdowns, with fog and standing water on roads as well.
Following on the heels of Alcoa, Maryville and Oliver Springs, more East Tennessee city leaders are asking residents to conserve water.
Luttrell Blaine Corryton Utility District and the First Utility District are asking customers to cut back on water usage.
Customers in Luttrell Blaine Corryton District with odd numbered addresses should water their lawns on Mondays and Thursdays only while even numbered address may water on Tuesdays and Fridays only.
And First Utility District customers with odd numbered address may water only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
For customers with even numbered addresses, you can water on Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays.
