Knoxville (WVLT) K-Mart on Kingston Pike in West Knoxville is back open this afternoon.

But some morning customers got quite a surprise as the store was evacuated after a fire alarm went off.

Knoxville firefighters say some smoke filled the building, and although they didn't find a fire, they did find a burned out electrical motor in the rear of the building.

Customers were allowed back in the store just after 11 a.m. when the smoke cleared.
