DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Millions of tickets sold, but none had the correct six numbers in Wednesday evening's multi-state Powerball game.
As a result, the 252-million-dollar jackpot went begging and has grown to 300 million for Saturday's drawing.
There hasn't been a top winner in the game since June 27th.
Twelve players came very close in Wednesday's drawing.
They matched five of the six winning numbers and win a minimum of 200-thousand dollars each.
Those tickets were sold in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Montana.
Powerball is played in 29 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The winning numbers in Wednesday's drawing are 12-37-40-48-50, with a Powerball of 37.
