Knoxville Police Search for Hit and Run Suspect

Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is looking for a 17 year-old boy that they say caused an accident then left the scene.

Officers say the 17 year-old did not yield his car at the corner of Beaumont Avenue and Reed Street Wednesday night and hit another vehicle.

Police say he then ran from the scene.

Two people in the other car were pinned.

Emergency crews were able to get them out and took them to U.T. Medical Center.

Christopher Clark, 44, is in critical condition.

A passenger in the car, who's name is not being released, is in stable condition.

KPD officers have identified the suspect but aren't releasing his name because he's a minor.

They are still searching for him.
