Longtime Sevier Co. Deputy Dies

Sevier Co. (WVLT) - A longtime Sevier County patrol sergeant has apparently died of a heart attack.

After 27 years of service, 50-year-old Sevier County Sheriff's Deputy Mike Fisher died late Wednesday.

Sheriff's officials say he called the department requesting an ambulance before 10:00pm Thursday night but died on Lifestar en route to UT Medical Center.

Sheriff Ron Seals calls Fisher an excellent officer who did an excellent job because he cared about people.
