Knoxville (WVLT) As many as eight people have been arrested by the FBI and local police this morning.
The US Attorney's Office and the FBI would not comment on the case, but sources close to the investigation tell Volunteer TV News that the case was investigated by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and centers around allegations of child pornography.
A total of eight people have been arrested. Sources tell Volunteer TV that all of them are from East Tennessee, and at least one is from Chattanooga.
The suspects were arraigned Friday afternoon by U.S. Magistrates C. Clifford Shirley Jr. and H. Bruce Guyton.
Arraignments began at 1:30 p.m. and continued through 4 PM.
Jason Eric Richardson, two counts of child pornography.
Glenn Franklin Yates, two counts of possession of child pornography
Lonny Duell Harper, Robert Arthur Glover, Roy Dennis Taylor, Adam Joseph Meyers and David Edward Casey are all charged with one count of possessing child pornography.
Dana Scott Richardson was indicted today on a distribution of child pornography charge.
