A wreck in Sevier Co. kills the passenger

SEVIER CO., Tenn. (WVLT) -- A Sunday morning wreck, in Sevier County, killed on person.

Troopers with the Tennessee Highway Patrol say Jessica Sutton-Whitt, 33, of Jefferson City was driving East on Asheville Highway in Sevier County when she left the right side of the road, over-corrected and hit a tree.

She was hurt, but her passenger, John Whitt, 39, was killed.

Troopers say she was wearing a seat belt, but he was not.

They both had been drinking.
