Knoxville Police Officer Arrested; Placed on Leave

Knoxville (WVLT) A Knoxville Police Officer's been placed on administrative leave with pay after being arrested on an aggravated assault warrant.

Knoxville police say Brian L. Hoover, 29 was arrested this morning.

He's being held in jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Knoxville police say the alleged assault was reported to police on Sunday.

Hoover's a five year veteran.

Police have not released any more details.
