Jellico (WVLT) A bank robbery suspect is in custody after a chase on Interstate 75 in Kentucky.

Campbell County Sheriff Gary Perkins tells Volunteer TV News that a man in line at the drive-thru at First State Bank in Jellico passed a note to the teller announcing the robbery.

Sheriff Perkins says the bank tellers complied with the demand while setting off alarms.

After receiving the cash the man fled in a gold Chevy Malibu with Florida plates.

Kentucky State Police found the vehicle headed northbound on I-75 and were able to put down stop strips and stop the car around the 18 milemarker.

Sheriff Perkins says the suspect was taken into custody peacefully.
