Knoxville Man Indicted in Murder of Half-Brother

Knoxville (WVLT) A Knoxville man has been indicted on a first degree murder charge in connection with the killing of his half-brother.

Knoxville Police say Deadrick Garrett, 19, stabbed his half-brother Rashad Miller, 29, on July 22nd.

The stabbing occured at Miller's apartment off Morrell Road.

Miller had multiple stab wounds.

According to the warrant, Garrett was upset because his 12-year old sister had told him that Miller, an ex-con, had raped her.

Attorney Bruce Poston is representing Garrett.

No trial date has been set.
