Maryville (WVLT) A little bit of rain was all it took.
Now you may benefit if you live or do business in Maryville or Alcoa.
The Maryville Water Quality Control Department and the City of Alcoa Public Works and Engineering Department have announced the easing of mandatory water restrictions.
Both cities say the Little River flow is stabilizing thanks to recent rain.
And they say that more rain Thursday morning is helping even more.
Both cities also cite decreasing temperatures and increased chance for rain in the coming days.
The Little River is the source of water for both the Maryville and Alcoa water systems.
Kenny Wiggins, Alcoa Director of Public Works and Engineering said, “We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of residents and businesses during the recent conservation efforts.”
