Loudon City Police Officer Charged in Monroe Burglaries

Madisonville (WVLT) A Loudon City police officer has been arrested and charged in connection with numerous Monroe county burglaries.

Steve Robert Gutt, 24 is one of two men charged with charged with 23 counts of aggravated burglary and 1 count of theft.

Gutt lists his employer as the Loudon City Police Department.

No one was available to comment at the police department.

The second man is Hubert Phillip Elam, Jr, 54.

Gutt was arrested by Monroe County authorities today.

Authorities say Gutt and Elam may face more charges at a later date.
