Monroe County (WVLT) - An inmate that escaped from the Monroe County jail has been caught.
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department says 24 year-old Scott Mehlhaff escaped over the back fence of the jail just after 11:00 p.m. Thursday night.
With the help of a police dog, deputies spotted Mehlhaff at about 11:45 p.m. hiding in some brush less than a quarter mile away from the jail.
Mehlhaff was behind bars on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and an out of state warrant.
It's not clear yet if he'll face additional charges.
