KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A 14 year old boy was recovering from a three story fall Wednesday night at the Thompson Boling Arena.
Officials with the Knoxville Fire Department said the boy was at the area as part of the global finals of Destination Imagination. Around 9:00 p.m. he fell about 30 feet from the east exterior wall of the arena, landing on concrete between Lot G-10 and a ramp. Emergency crews found him on the ground in front of a set of doors leading to the arena's court level.
The boy was transported from the scene to the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
His condition has not been released, though reports from the scene indicate he only suffered some broken bones.
