Knoxville (WVLT) -- Ijams Nature Center is now nice and tidy.
That's because volunteer's spent two hours on Saturday morning weeding the over growth between the pond and invertebrate house.
Ijams hosts volunteer workday's every few months.
The extra help is necessary to keeping the park looking great.
"We have a very small staff and a pretty large park, so volunteers, the more the merrier," said Kara Remington, an Ijams educator and naturalist.
Next weekend the park kick's off its busy fall event schedule with a performance by the Knoxville Symphony Chamber Orchestra with actor David Keith.
