Seymour (WVLT) The Sevier County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of a mother and daughter in Seymour.
Captain Jeff McCarter confirms that deputies were called to a home at 555 Emerts View Circle, off Boyd's Creek Highway, in Sevierville, last night around 11:30 PM.
McCarter says Alice Neff's boyfriend found the bodies inside a car in her garage and called them.
McCarter identifies the dead as Alice Mary Neff, 42, and her daughter Hillary Ann Neff, 21.
He calls says the case is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
McCarter says Hillary Neff was incapable of caring for herself on her own.
McCarter says deputies suspect carbon monoxide poisoning as the cause of both deaths.
He says they do not suspect that anyone else played a hand in the fatalities.
McCarter says Alice Neff left information about her intentions inside the home, but would not comment on whether it was a suicide note.
Volunteer TV crews are just returning from the scene, more details tonight at 6 on Volunteer TV News.
