Knoxville (WVLT) - We have some good news to pass along to you.

Earlier we told you about a family offering a reward to anyone who could help them find their dog that was in the family car when the car was stolen. We got a call from Henry Favire, and he told us Buddy is back at home.

Henry says someone found Buddy walking along the side of the road on Northshore and recognized him from television. They contacted his family and made sure Buddy made it home safely.

Favire and his family tell us they couldn't be any happier.

"We haven't stopped messing with him. It's been a couple of hours, and nobody wants to go to sleep. There's school tomorrow, but nobody wants to go to sleep. We just can't believe we have him back. It's amazing," Buddy's owner Anna Novello said.

Henry had offered the family's seats to the upcoming Hannah Montana concert as a reward, but the person who found Buddy opted for a cash reward instead, telling Favire to keep the tickets for his daughters.
