Man at Center of Knoxville Love Triangle-Shooting Files for Divorce

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A Knoxville man charged with second-degree murder in the shooting of a teenager who was enamored of his wife has filed for divorce.

In court documents, Eric McLean claims his wife abused their two sons and had an extramarital affair with a woman.

Eric McLean is accused of fatally shooting 18-year-old Sean Powell as the teen sat in front of the McLean family's home on March tenth.

Earlier court testimony established that Erin McLean met Powell while she did her student teaching at the high school Powell attended.

Testimony also claimed she began a romantic relationship with the teen months before the shooting.
