Knoxville (WVLT) - The Knoxville Police Department is making plans for football time in Tennessee!
Thursday morning, traffic control plans for UT's first home game were announced.
You'll notice several changes this year, due to the closure of James White Parkway.
Captain Gordon Catlett says the best advice he can give is to slow down, pay close attention and arrive early, "Familiarize yourself with the detours that are in place to deal with traffic flow during the construction phase, the SmartFix 40 project and the most significant impact is gonna be on the James White Parkway being closed and that'll require all the traffic being diverted up to Hall of Fame Drive."
Another change, after the game, if you normally use Neyland Drive to reach the interstate, you will have to exit onto Hall of Fame Drive.
