GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Pretrial motions are scheduled Friday in Greenville in the case of a Tennessee man charged in the slaying of a 20-year-old Clemson University student who was strangled with a bikini top.
36-year-old Jerry Buck Inman is charged with kidnapping, rape and murder in the death of Tiffany Marie Souers.
Souers was found dead in her off-campus apartment in May of last year.
Souers was an engineering student from Ladue, Missouri.
Jefferson County, Tennessee Sheriff's deputies arrested Inman in June.
He was living in Dandridge.
Prosecutor Bob Ariail has said he intends to seek the death penalty.
Inman's attorney, Symmes Culbertson, would not talk about what motions might be considered.
No trial date has set.
Inman also faces charges in the attempted rape of a 24-year-old woman in Alabama and in the rape of a 28-year-old woman in Sevierville in the days before Souers' death.
