Knoxville (WVLT) - It's day two of witness testimony in the Sunshine lawsuit trial.
Attorney Richard Hollow, who represents the Knoxville News Sentinel, called the Director of the County Commission office, Jolie Bonvita back to the stand Friday morning.
Hollow wanted more details on a letter Bonvita told the jury yesterday, she put together back on January 19th.
Bonvita says the none of the commissioners saw the letters, said that agreed to a special meeting on January 31st to appoint 12 the office holders.
But she says 14 commissioners agreed over the phone with her and she put their signatures on the letter electronically.
Attorney Herb Moncier then questioned Bonvita about why she waited until the day of the January 22nd county commission meeting to give the public notice to the Sentinel, "If the newspaper didn't get this until Monday morning at 10:13 a.m. that would have missed the morning edition of the Knoxville News Sentinel, wouldn't it?."
Jolie Bonavita says, "I would say yes."
Richard Hollow also read the sworn depositions of the 14 county commissioners who had their names put on the agreement letter, electronically.
