KNOXVILLE (WVLT) - The Knoxville Ice Bears have named 33-year-old Scott Hillman as their new head coach, the News-Sentinel is reporting.
Hillman played minor league hockey for nine years. He previously served as player-assistant coach for the Odessa (Texas) Jackalopes.
Hillman succeeds Jim Bermingham, who led the Ice Bears for four years before resigning suddenly two weeks ago.
The Ice Bears are expected to conduct a press conference next Friday to introduce Hillman.
