Knoxville (WVLT) -- With the Vols on the road, bicyclists came cruising into town.
It was a huge cycling weekend in Knoxville thanks to yesterday's state time trials and today's criterium and kids bike rodeo
The downtown rodeo was made possible by a group of local business leaders, and proved to be a popular event for area youth.
"The whole concept is that we try to improve bicycle skills," said Philippe Hanset of Southern Cycling Operations. "We receive a budget from Downtown Knoxville's CBID, Central Business Improvement District."
Thanks to the CBID and other sponsors, the rodeo was able to give fittings and hand out free helmets to all the riders.
