Dole Recalls Lettuce Sold in Tennessee

(WVLT) - The Dole Food Company is recalling bagged salad that was sold in Tennessee and several other states after some samples tested positive for E. Coli.

Dole says they have not yet received any reports of illnesses.

The voluntary recall affects all packages of Dole's Hearts Delight Salad Mix.

They have a "Best if Used By" date of September 19, 2007.

They also have a production code of "A24924A" or "A24924B."

Last year, an E.Coli outbreak traced to bagged spinach was blamed for three deaths and dozens of illnesses.

Authorities identified the source of the contamination as a cattle ranch next to a Dole spinach field in California.
