(WVLT) - Several agencies have helped bust a massive marijuana field in East Tennessee.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol and the 3rd District Drug Task Force located the pot field near Newport in Greene County, just three miles from the Cocke County border.
Officers say four armed men were found guarding the field.
One was arrested while the other three are still on the loose.
THP officers say the field is 50 to 75 yards wide and about 650 yards long.
They estimate it held 8-12,000 plants that is worth possibly up to a million dollars.
THP officers say this is one of the biggest marijuana fields they have discovered in 30 years.
