SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police expect everyone who was hurt in the Saturday night crash on I-40 to recover.
There is still no word on what caused two cars to collide near Exit 407, Westbound.
Traffic was shut down in the area for a few hours.
The investigation is on-going.
SEVIER COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sevierville Police are asking that you avoid Interstate 40 because of a bad wreck.
All three lanes of westbound traffic are shut down near exit 407.
The wreck involves two cars and five people were hurt.
One of the injured was flown to UT Medical Center. The others were taken by ambulance to area hospitals.
There is no word on what caused the crash.
At 12:30 a.m. dispatchers told Volunteer TV they expect all lanes to open shortly.
