Blount County Couple Charged with Computer Fraud

Friendsville (WVLT) A Friendsville couple is behind bars this afternoon, charged with computer fraud.

Blount County Sheriff's deputies say Kevin Roberts, 41, and Cheryl Jeannette Roberts, 48, took money for computers they were selling online.

The problem, according to investigators, the Roberts were not sending the computers to buyers.

After a six week investigation, deputies say they seized computer and financial records, showing the couple scammed several people out of a combined $25,000.

The Roberts are being held without bond.
