Federal Judge: Tennessee Lethal Injection Process Unconstitutional

Tennessee (WVLT) A federal judge has ruled that Tennessee's current procedure for lethal injections amounts to cruel and unusual punishment.

A spokeswoman for the state attorney general's office, says they are reviewing the decision to decide if they will appeal.

They'll have to move quick, death row inmate Edward Jerome Harbison of Hamilton County was scheduled to be executed early next Wednesday.

However this order does not give him a stay of execution.
