OAK RIDGE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A nine year-old girl had to be flown to UT Medical Center after she was hit by a 67 year-old man in a Lexus in Oak Ridge early Sunday evening.
According to the Oak Ridge Police Dept., the girl was riding along Highland Ave. near Hillside Drive when a car, driven by Roy Kirk, hit her shortly after 5:30 p.m.
The girl was first taken to Methodist Medical Center for treatment, before being flown via LifeStar to UT Medical Center. Authorities said she is currently in stable condition.
A passing Neighborhood Watch captain provided officers with video of the scene which helped them reconstruct the incident. Police have not said if any charges will be filed.
