AAA: After record high in Feb., gas prices keep falling

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- After a January run-up the led to record high gas prices for the month of February, customer have caught a bit of a break at the pump in the past month, according to new numbers from AAA.

The latest numbers show a three-week decline that has shaved 11 cents off of the price of gas across Tennessee. Compared to this time last year, drivers here are paying over a quarter less per gallon.

Prices continue to fall despite the good news about unemployment in the U.S. and reports of decreasing supply. AAA credits the drop to lagging economies in Europe.
