AAA helping drivers get home safely over Halloween weekend

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- AAA wants to make sure our roads stay safe this Halloween weekend.

The organization is teaming up with Bud Light to get drivers and their cars home when they can't find a ride or a designated driver.

It's Tow to Go program will offers members and non-members alike a discreet tow to a safe location within a ten mile radius.

The service is designed to be used a last resort and its based on the availability of AAA technicians and tow trucks, the group said.

In East Tennessee, the number to call is 800-234-1222.

The Tow to Go program has operated for major holidays for the past 15 years. AAA says it has taken over 20,000 intoxicated drivers off the road.
