Abandoned Knox County home catches fire

STRAWBERRY PLAINS, Tenn. (WVLT) -- According to Rural Metro officials, an abandoned Knox County home caught fire Saturday morning,

The call was placed around 8:40 a.m. The house, located on the 8700 block of N. Ruggles Ferry Pike, was 50 percent engulfed in flames when crews arrived.

Seven different units responded to the fire.

No injuries have been reported, and the house is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
