KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Sixty miles from the epicenter of Tennessee Vols country, lies the sleepy town of Athens, Tennessee. On Tuesday, the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce is having its annual dinner benefit.

This years speaker is Alabama head football coach, Nick Saban, and he's causing quite the stir among Tennessee Vol fans.

Rob Preston is the president of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce and is the one who invited Coach Saban to speak. He says he's received 100's of emails and some phone calls from people expressing their disgust with Nick Saban coming to Vol country.

"I think some people have misinterpreted what we're trying to do and we're all we're trying to do is bring in a motivational speaker," says Preston, who he himself, claims to be a die-hard Tennessee Vols fan.

The coach will be speaking at the sold out benefit. Preston says the coach won't be talking about football.

Fifteen-hundred people are expected to attend.
