KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Hamblen County Sheriff's Department says they've arrested two suspects who have been on a crime spree since early December.
Michael F. Huskey, 32, and Timothy L. Allison, 24, were arrested in Blount County Friday morning.
Huskey and Allison are accused of stealing Alpha gel batteries from power poles in Hamblen, Grainger, Anderson, Sevier, and Blount County.
The batteries are backups for Charter. Officials say the suspects stole at least 60 batteries from Hamblen County alone, and sold the batteries for $15 to $30 per battery at ES Recycling on John Sevier Highway in Knoxville.
Each suspect will be charged with 20 counts each of property theft and vandalism.
Authorities are still looking for three additional suspects in these thefts.
