KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Grab your wallets and get ready to spend.
Today's cash mob will be at Butler & Bailey Market. It's from 5pm-7pm.
The store opened in 1990 by George Bailey and Tom Butler.
George died three years ago, but Tom continues to run the store on a daily basis.
Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett started the initiative earlier this year as a way to boost local, independent businesses.
"They're not getting anything. No tax credits," Burchett said. "They've been paying the bills for a long time. In this community has been big on local businesses. I think we need to continue the trend."
The market is on South Northstore Drive, near Rocky Hill Road.
