UPDATE: Sheriff says body found in car is Holly Fischer

Authorities in Ashe Co. say they have found the car belonging to a Charlotte woman who was last seen in East Tennessee, but they did not indicate whether or not they had found her.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WVLT) -- The Wilkes Co. Sheriff's Department says they believe they have found Holly Fischer, the woman who disappeared after leaving her parents home in Knoxville.

Authorities in Ashe Co. say they found Fischer's car down an embankment off Highway 16 last night.

Fischer, 39, disappeared last Thursday while she was on her way home from her parents home in Knoxville. She was last seen at a gas station in Newport, Tenn.
