Leon Houston found not guilty on federal weapons charges

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - A jury has found Leon Houston not guilty in his federal weapons case.

.The jury deliberated less than two hours Wednesday evening before returning the verdict.

The verdict doesn't mean Houston is a free man. He has been taken back to jail, accused of threatening his former attorney over the phone.

Leon Houston, along with his brother, Rocky, are notorious for making headlines with federal officials. They have previously beaten murder charges in the past but they may not be so lucky this time.

The Roane County native will be back in court on that charge later this month.

Houston says the charges against him were all a part of the government's conspiracy.

For that reason, Houston has filed 16 lawsuits against federal judges. He says thanks to the constitution he has rights to own firearms.
