KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- School is just around the corner and many kids are excited.
"I really like school," said Kiera Colson, a fourth grader.
"Well, my favorite subject is math!" said Brandon Smith, who will be in third grade.
"I'm excited for seventh grade. It's a big step and I want to see how it goes," said Destiny Lovelady.
The "Back At It" bash is helping them celebrate the end of summer and start of another academic year.
The dunking booth was a hit:
"I dunked one person!" said Kobe Vaughn, an eighth grader.
And so was the reptile show. Kids could get a close up look at fire trucks and police car, and get some energy out by jumping around.
"I like to play in the bounce house a lot!" said Smith.
The event was about more than just fun - City on a Hill Church and the Knoxville Center Mall helped those in need by giving away free school supplies.
"My mom won't have to get a lot of stuff now," said Siria Drake, a sixth grader.
Now kids can go back to school prepared and happy. .
