Bandits are preying on pumpers who don't lock their car doors.
It's happening at a pump near you. Wonder what a slider is? Don't worry many folks we talked to didn't know either.
"The only thing I know is it's a hamburger," said one man.
Well sliders go in your cars while you're pumping gas and take your personal items.
"I think that's a shame but I think it has a lot to do with the economy," said one pumper.
When Local 8 News looked inside his car, we found his wife's wallet on the floor.
We caught another man pumping gas with his door wide open.
"Sometimes I leave the door open. Sometimes I leave it unlocked. A lot of times I forget," said Tom Walker.
During just 30 minutes at the gas station we spotted more than three people pumping gas, without pressing the locks.
