BEAN STATION, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Police are looking for the person who broke into the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Highway 11W in Bean Station sometime overnight.
Rite Aid employees discovered the burglary when they got to work early Tuesday morning.
Police Chief Bryce Justice says the suspect broke in through the back of the building. They're still investigating details.
"We suspect it was possibly one person, but we don't know for sure," he said.
Police believe the only thing the thief took was medication. They're still trying to figure out exactly what kind and how much it was worth.
"We know the epidemic we have with medications in our culture today," Justice said. "And so we really don't know why they did it. It could be for that. It could be for resale; it could be for personal use. We don't know at this time."
Investigators are still reviewing security video. They're not ready to release a description of the suspect at this time.
