ONEIDA, Tenn. (AP) -- Vandals have again smashed sinks and toilets at a Big South Fork restroom.

Officials at the 125,000-acre national river and recreation area on the Tennessee-Kentucky border told The Knoxville News Sentinel the same bathroom was struck twice before this year by vandals.

National Park Service spokesman Randy Scoggins said the damage could run into thousands of dollars. The damage was discovered Tuesday at the Yahoo Falls parking lot on the Kentucky side of the reserve. Yahoo Falls is one of the most-visited areas of the park.

Park Superintendent Niki Stephanie Nicholas said it isn't clear when the restroom can be re-opened.

Tips on who caused the damage can be phoned to the chief ranger's office at (423) 569-2404.
