Bikers cruise for teen facing terminal cancer

CAMPEBLL COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT)-- Nearly two dozen bikers cruised through Campbell County Saturday to show their support for a teen facing terminal cancer.

For the Shepherds Riding Club, it was just another ride. But for Katelyn Norman,14, it was a wish come true. Her afternoon was filled with the sound of a throttle and a view of the mountains flying by. It was a thrill for many, but a big check off the bucket list for Katelyn.

"It was just amazing. Seeing everybody. Rolling down the window and saying hi to everybody," Katelyn.

Folks circled around her chariot because she was too weak to get out of the car. But with the windows down, she still got all the sights and sounds she had always dreamed of.

"It just makes you so excited and filled with job. It's's unbelievable," said Jennifer Norman, Katelyn's aunt.

The Shephards also came to Katelyn with gifts, hugs and prayes-- the same support they were founded on.

"It's kind of what we had in our minds we wanted to do. We wanted to help people in anyway we could. You know, we ride for Channon so nobody ever forgets her or Chris and we ride for each other so none of us have to ever be alone," said Deena Christian, co-founder of Shepherds Riding Club.

Katelyn will be celebrating prom night Tuesday.
