KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A billboard campaign has led to the arrest of a man wanted for at least three bank robberies in East Tennessee, according to the FBI.
William Steven Curtis, 40, was arrested without incident shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Friday by members of the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, KPD, and the Knox Co. Sheriff's Office. He was charged with robbing the Home Federal Bank in Pigeon Forge in August, the TN Bank of Oak Ridge in November, and the Tennessee State Bank in Jefferson City in January.
The FBI launched the billboard campaign to find him earlier this month.
