BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Family friends close to the victims tell WDBJ (CBS) in Roanoke that Kiesha Forbes (Beard) and Bailey Hall were part of the Covington High School women's basketball team.
They were on their way to the Lenoir City Christmas Tournament at the time of the crash.
As of Sunday, Bailey Hall is in stable condition, Yvonne Hall is in serious condition, and Beard is in critical condition.
Original Story: The Blount County Sheriff's Office says it responded to a deadly crash on U.S. Highway 321 around noon on Saturday.
Deputies say 47-year-old Yvonne Hall was driving west on U.S. Highway 321 near Endsley Quarry Road when 73-year-old Virginia Allison pulled into the path of Hall's vehicle. Allison was pulling out of Endsley Quarry Road to turn left onto U.S. Highway 321.
Allison, of Maryville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hall and 16-year-old Kiesha Beard were flown by Life Star to U.T. Medical Center. Another individual in Hall’s vehicle, 18-year-old Bailey Hall, was taken by Rural/Metro to U.T. Medical Center. All three are currently being treated for their injuries.
Deputies say Bailey Hall and Kiesha Beard were not wearing seatbelts.
