CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- A woman who went into a Clarksville market and left her son in her car walked out to find both gone.
The boy and the car were both found a short time later and a suspect was arrested.
Sharonda Belvin called police around 7:30 p.m. Monday, saying her 7-year-old son had been kidnapped. The child was found 10 minutes later at a nearby Walmart parking lot, where he told police his kidnapper left him.
Police looking for a suspect spotted 20-year-old Willie Charles Cole II inside a Kmart and found the keys to Belvin's car in his pocket. The vehicle was found at the Walmart.
Police spokesman Jim Knoll said Cole told investigators he took the car because he needed bail money for previous charges against him.
