Burchett delivers big gift to Love Kitchen

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knox Co. Mayor Tim Burchett and Parks and Recreation Director Doug Bataille stopped by the Love Kitchen on Thursday to drop off a big donation on Thursday.

Burchett and Bataille presented Helen Ashe and Ellen Turner with several hundred pounds of food and a check for more than $3,000.

“It was an honor to deliver this donation to The Love Kitchen, but it is our community and the people of Knox County who made it possible,” said Mayor Burchett.

The money and food were collected during the Holiday Festival of Lights last December.
