LAFOLLETTE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- The Campbell County Animal Shelter has been suddenly closed.
The center in LaFollette was emptied of all animals Thursday. Director Betty Crumley said she didn't know why the animals were being removed and had no comment.
The front door of the Adion W. Baird Animal Center had a closed sign. An unidentified woman who answered the back door said rescue organizations had accepted the animals.
