Car plows into side of Blount County home

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- A car crashed into a home on Sevierville Road Sunday afternoon.

The homeowner told Local 8 News that the woman who was driving was trying to pick up a water bottle when she swerved, over-corrected, and hit the building.

He says at first he thought a tree had fallen, and his knees buckled.

The home will need extensive repairs, so the American Red Cross is helping him.
