KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) -- Knoxville Police are looking to keep children safe while in the car, so they will be inspecting seats on Saturday.
The department will have officers at 917 E. Fifth Avenue on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 10 AM to 1PM.
According to the National Highway Traffic & Safety Administration (NHTSA), 80% of all child restraints are used incorrectly.
KPD officers will check the seats, make sure they are certified and then show parents how to install the seat properly.
