Charges against Larry Wheelon dropped

BLOUNT COUNTY, Tenn. (WVLT) 19 horses taken from a Blount County farm are headed home. The abuse charges against the owner now dropped.

A Blount County judge ruled there was not enough evidence against Larry Wheelon to send the case to the grand jury.

The horses were taken from Wheelon's farm back in April.

Authorities originally said he and his staff practiced soring, by applying chemicals to horses hooves to get a high step for show judges.
